Week 36: May 6-10
Hello Families.
ASL 1: This week in class students completed review on Lessons 1-28, receptive fingerspelling practice and Lesson 29. Next week they will complete lesson 30 in ASL University and review for the final.
ASL 2: This week in class students completed completed Country Sentences and Lesson 60 in ASL University. Next week students will review for the final.
I am so very proud of my ASL students! Students in ASL 1 have now learned more than 600 signs and students in ASL 2 have learned between 1300-1500 words throughout their course of study. You all amaze me and fill me with pride and joy!
Spanish 1: This week in class students took notes on Interrogatives, read about interrogatives and their use in Spanish, and completed some guided practice with interrogatives. They also completed a Quizizz on telling time in Spanish and did some Duolingo and a Quizlet Checkpoint. Next week they will be working on the estar (to be) verb and some stem changing verbs in the present tense. They will also review their notes for the final.
Spanish 2: This week in class students worked on reflexive verbs and pronouns, completed more practice on the Imperfect, as well as a Quizizz on it and also completed Duolingo. Next week students will take a vocabulary quiz and a chapter test. They will also review their notes for the Final.
This year’s piñatas were astounding Spanish students! You all worked diligently on and it showed in the final product. It has been fun this week displaying all of your creations and having the piñata contest. The winners will be announced next Monday morning on the announcements!
