Hello Everyone!

This week although short, has been busy. The electives teachers met this week to discuss the Arts Showcase. The Showcase will take place on Saturday, October 29th and all Spanish and ASL students will be expected to attend unless they are excused by a parent for an extenuating circumstance. The Showcase will feature art from the classes of Miss Tomasek, songs and dances by Show Choir, Spanish and ASL classes, and culinary delights prepared by Mr. Ramos and his Culinary students. More to come in a flyer soon!

Spanish 1: This week in class students learned about the verb ser which means to be. They learned that the acronym DOCTOR can help them remember it’s uses. The acronym stands for description, occupation, characteristics, time, origin and relationship. Students also studied their Quizlets and had a vocabulary quiz this week. They also learned a song called The Ser Song that is to the tune of a Jason Mraz song. The song can help them to memorize the conjugations of the verb. A link to the song is provided below for your enjoyment!
