Week 27: February 22-25

In ASL I, ASL II, Spanish I, Spanish II

Hello Families!

I hope your week is going well and that you had a nice little break over President’s Day.

ASL 2: This week in class we completed country sentences for Bahrain, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belgium and Benin. We also signed lesson 53. I am offering extra credit to students who sign the lesson early before the due date. Many students have been taking advantage of this great opportunity. Next week we will complete five new country sentences and lesson 54.

ASL 1: This week in ASL 1 we have been reviewing lessons 1-22 using practice sheets with 5 sentences each and signing with a partner. We also completed Lesson 23. Next week we will do some receptive fingerspelling practice and sign Lesson 24.

Spanish 2: This week in Spanish 2 we have been reviewing e to ie stem changing verbs, reviewed our vocabulary and taken the current chapter exam. Students rocked the exam and I am very proud of them! Next week we will create a new quizlet and word wall and learn the vocabulary in context and through a reading dialogue.

Spanish 1: This week in Spanish 1 we reviewed possession with de and learned about possessive adjectives. These are both ways of expressing that something belongs to us. We have also completed Duolingo and Quizlet practice as well as whiteboarding exercises. Next week we will focus on reading practice in Spanish, giving dates and months and we will wrap up the current chapter with an exam.
