Week 18: December 5-9

In ASL I, ASL II, Spanish I, Spanish II

Happy Friday Everyone!

Spanish 2: This week in class students worked on their Preterit Tense Packets, completed a vocabulary quiz for the current chapter and completed two study guides to prep for the final. Finals will be on Monday and Tuesday and students will complete fifty questions each day. Students are allowed to use their notes on the final, so I would recommend that they update their Table of Contents if they have not done so already, to help them to stay organized. Next week we will  learn some Christmas Vocabulary in Spanish and play a game related to it.

ASL 1: This week in class students learned some Christmas signs and wrote ten sentences about what they plan to do over Christmas break. They will be signing the sentences next week after the final. They  have been reviewing for finals next week too. The final consists of drawing five practice sheets from lessons 1-15  randomly and then choosing the two they would like to sign.

Spanish 1: This week in class students completed a vocabulary quiz, a Duolingo lesson and a live Quizizz on present tense verbs ending in -ar. They also completed two study guides to prepare for their finals on Monday and Tuesday of next week. Students are allowed to use their notes on the final, so I would recommend that they update their Table of Contents if they have not done so already, to help them to stay organized. Next week we will learn about Las Posadas and El Día de los Tres Reyes Magos.

ASL 2: This week in class we focused our efforts on receptive learning by signing some of the practice sheet questions and statements to each other and then either answering the questions that our partners asked or interpreting what was signed. Students also prepared for their final next week. The final will be on Monday and Tuesday of next week. Students will be drawing five random practice sheets from lessons 31-45 and then choose two of those to sign for their final.

Have a fun weekend with your kiddos so they can let off some steam and be refreshed for finals.
