Week 17 and 18
Dear Parents and Students,
We were very busy in all of our classes before the Thanksgiving Break and students had a lot of work to complete.
ASL 1: This class completed Lesson 11 in ASL University and is already working toward mastery of Lesson 12. Though it is our usual routine to test on each lesson at the end of the week, students will be signing their stories when we get back from break, due to a family illness in my household.
ASL 2: Students will be signing stories for me upon our return to school after the Thanksgiving break. I am confident that they have been studying dilligently while I was out.
Spanish 2: Students have completed activities from the text to reinforce their use of preterite verbs ending in AR, ER, and IR. They also completed a fun music lyrics training assignment in Spanish and are working on a packet to help them better understand the preterite. We will review that packet after the Thanksgiving Break. Tomorrow students will be writing a paper in Spanglish about their Thanksgiving Family Traditions.
Spanish 1: Students completed a fun music lyrics training assignment in Spanish and are working on a packet to reinforce the things they learned in Unidad 1 Etapa 1. We will review that packet after the Thanksgiving Break. Tomorrow students will be writing a paper in Spanglish about their Thanksgiving Family Traditions.
German 2 and Japanese 2: Students worked toward their 40 minute goal each day in Rosetta Stone. These students are rock stars and amaze me every week!
As the Thanksgiving Holiday approaches, enjoy the time off with your family and remember to be safe! I am thankful for all of you because you enrich my life and give me purpose every day!
