Week 15: November15-19

 In ASL I, ASL II, Spanish I, Spanish II

Happy Friday Families!

ASL 1: This week in ASL 1 students reviewed practice sentences from lessons 1-12, watched the ASL Top News stories a few times, and learned the vocabulary for Lesson 13. The practice sentences for Lesson 13 were due today. Next week we will learn some Thanksgiving vocabulary and watch some Thanksgiving stories in ASL.

ASL 2: This week students reviewed practice sentences 15-42 and watched the ASL Top News stories a few times. Students also learned the vocabulary for lesson 43 which just happened to be about the holidays. Lesson 43 was due today. Next week we will learn some Thanksgiving vocabulary and watch some Thanksgiving stories in ASL. We will also have conversations in ASL about what students do to celebrate the holidays.

Spanish 1: This week in Spanish 1 students studied their Quizlet vocabulary, completed a Duolingo assignment and learned about definite and indefinite articles in Spanish and how they match in gender and number. We also worked on describing people’s clothing and took a Quizizz on Definite and Indefinite articles. Next week we will learn some vocabulary centered around Thanksgiving and make a craft.

Spanish 2: This week in Spanish 2 students studied their Quizlet vocabulary and worked toward earning legendary status on some of their Duolingo lessons. They also played a dice game called “Seises” to review acabar de and the estar verb with adjectives and reviewed how to use the gustar verb with clarifiers. We are learning a song in Spanish called ¿Qué nos gusta hacer? to help with the previous concept. Today we tested over the current chapter and next week we will learn some vocabulary centered aroung Thanksgiving and make a craft.
