End of the 2020-2021 School Year Announcement

In ASL I, ASL II, Spanish I, Spanish II

Dear Parents and Students,

We did it! We made it to the end of the 2020-2021 school year! What an adventure it has been! In all of my years teaching, I have never experienced a school year quite like this one. I am so proud of all of my students and parents! This year teachers were required to teach online and in person simultaneously. There were many challenges, but also many positives that came out of that experience. A couple of the positives are that both students and teachers have become more literate in using virtual meeting spaces and completing and evaluating electronic assignments.

Students, I want to thank each and every one of you for your commitment to your education this year. You have had many challenges to overcome this year, yet despite these challenges, you rose to the expectation and I am so proud of each and every one of you for doing your best! Congratulations to all of the graduating seniors! You will be missed!

Parents, I want to express my deepest appreciation for all of the support that you have given to me and to all of the teachers here at San Tan. We couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you for being flexible and adapting to the continuous changes and challenges that you have had to face this year in the midst of a pandemic. Thank you for sharing your beautiful children with us and for making sure that they turned in their work and for giving them consequences if they didn’t or letting them experience a natural consequence. Thank you for partnering with me to make sure that they were successful. Education requires teamwork and together, we did it, along with the marvelous administration here at San Tan.

Wishing you all a wonderful and safe summer! Have fun and make good choices! (I couldn’t resist…it’s what I always said to my own children).
