Week 22: January 16-19
Hello Families. I hope this post finds you well and focused on your New Year’s Goals.
ASL 1: This week in class students completed receptive fingerspelling in ASL University. I am encouraging students to push themselves to set the speed faster and the length of the words to longer as they continue working on this skill. Students are also working on Lesson 15 which is due no later than Friday and some students have also signed for extra credit yesterday. Next week students will be working on Lesson 16.
ASL 2: This week in class students completed Country Sentences 71-75 and should be finished with Lesson 47 no later than Friday. Seniors had CPR training this week, but most of them are staying on top of their work simultaneously and getting it done. Thanks for your hard work seniors. Next week students will be working on Country Sentences 76-80 and Lesson 48.
Spanish 1: This week students completed some Duolingo and have been working on conjugating verbs that end in -ar. Students are being encouraged to memorize the endings of these verbs so they can be as proficient as possible in using them in sentences. Today we will have be doing a whole group Quizizz on conjugating these verbs and clearing answering any questions, and clearing any misconceptions that they may have on this concept. Tomorrow students will have another Quizizz for independent work and will have two attempts to get the best score possible. Next week students will learn to conjugate verbs ending in -er and -ir in the present tense.
Spanish 2: This week in class students have completed four assignments in albert.io to review and strengthen their skills in previously taught concepts. Seniors had CPR training this week. Students are also working on preterit tense verbs with orthographic changes and are studying a Quizlet for the current chapter vocabulary. Next week students will be working on irregular verbs in the preterit and will complete whiteboard practice for the preterit tense.
