Week 25: February 6-10

In ASL I, ASL II, Spanish I, Spanish II

Hello Families. I hope this week is going well for you. This week has been a very productive week for students and I am very proud of them all.

Spanish 2: This week in class students wrote sentences in the past tense about what they did last weekend, took the end of chapter test, completed Direct Object Pronouns Task Cards and by tomorrow, will have completed their Individual Unit (Path) in Duolingo. Next week students will create a Quizlet for the new chapter, create a word wall in class and learn the new vocabulary in context as well as a dialogue.

Spanish 1: This week in class students took notes on the estar verb, which means to be. They also learned a song to the tune of the Mexican Hat Dance to help them remember how to conjugate it and they completed a guided Quizizz and an individual Quizizz on the estar verb. The estar verb is a very versatile verb in Spanish used to talk about position, location, action, condition and emotion. It is the more temporary of the be verbs. The other be verb is ser. By tomorrow students should have completed a unit in Duolingo. Next week students will be learning interrogative words such as quién, qué, cómo, cuál, cuándo, and por qué to ask questions. They have already learned to use dónde and adónde to talk about schedules. At the end of the week next week students will complete a test over the current chapter.

ASL 1: This week in class students reviewed lesson 1-20 during bell work, completed a written assignment on deaf culture, and by tomorrow should have signed lesson 21. Next week students will work on Lesson 22.

ASL 2: This week in class students completed country sentences, an assignment on deaf culture and lesson 51 which has to to with relationships. Next week students will work on Lesson 52.

Have a great rest of the week and weekend. Enjoy some nice outdoor time if you are able.
