Week 16: November 21-23

In ASL I, ASL II, Spanish I, Spanish II

Happy Thanksgiving Families! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, so I am very excited. I love time with my kids and my grandkids.

Spanish 2: This week in class students took notes on regular preterit verbs and preterit verbs ending in car, gar and zar. They also completed two quizizz assignments on preterit verbs, exercises 5 & 6 from the text and Duolingo. In addition to this, students wrote sentences using regular preterit verbs in Spanish. Next week students will work on conjugating irregular preterit verbs ser, ir, ver, hacer and dar. We will complete some whiteboarding on the concepts learned thus far in the preterit too.

ASL 1 & 2: This week in classes students learned to sign Thanksgiving vocabulary and they created ten sentences with these new words that they had to share today. Next week ASL 1 students will work on Lesson 15 and ASL 2 students will work on Lesson 45.

Spanish 1: This week in class students completed a packet on the tener verb and tener+que+infinitive. Tener means to have and the tener+que+infinitive is used to say what a person has to do. Students also completed Duolingo and two Quizizz assignments on tener and tener+que+infinitive. Next week we will delve into present tense -ar verbs. This opens a world of possibilities for reading, writing, listening and speaking, so I am very excited to teach this.

Have a great holiday weekend! Be safe and enjoy!
